As the first construction phase gets to its end, it is now time to take a few steps back, to try and see
what has yet been done, and what is coming next.
It is now clear that the half abstract half concrete condition given by the protostructure is definitely
ambiguous. However it is progressively filling up with studio projects inhabiting it, which operate shifts
of perspective.
The House is densifying and becomes more concrete, more tangible. As the projects take place inside
the protostructure, the abstract features are drawn into it, as part of the Rooms. These which seemed
more concrete than the protostructure because of the program they propose, are now the abstract
part of the whole as their program is conceptual.
Anyway, all of this is bringing light to the etymology of the word protostructure (proto = anterior) : a
host structure, something inhabited, transformed by new objects.
