The double element has the form of a window frame and a bed. The window provides a frame which limits the attention of the user towards a specific area. The bed serves as a private space to the user-citizen. On the one hand the user is isolated from the rest of the crowd while lying on the bed-surface. On the other hand he is aware of what is going on around him within the limited area to which his attention is drawn on through the frame.
Since the view through the window frame is of great importance to our concept, we investigate it in an attempt to better comprehend the relationship between the user, the double-element and the surroundings.
As we approach the construction process, we study in detail the wood joints used in our Hybrid drawings. This helps us proceed with the realisation of the construction at a 1:1 scale.
