• Crafting Horizon

Par violaine-ophélie coen, pierre menoud, mathis pante, christophe gautier, 18/10/15

We focused on the space generated by the different walls all around creating vertical and horizontal plans. Without having any relation to each other, they generate a space as if they were all linked. By creating this space, a new frame is opened. Based on this picture, the balustrade hides the ground and it makes us imagine a new horizon.

We want to create a bed on that imaginary floor, articulated to a window which would add a new spatial condition to the bed

  • Articulations

Par pierre menoud, miguel gomez, Patricia , 25/09/15

We focused on the tri-dimensional articulation of the building.

We were interested in relationship between the two 90° walls under the covered logia and the 110° angle which was contrasting with the regular structure of the facade.

The process of measuring can be read in both the models and drawings through all the different angles that we had to measure. furthermore, we had to choose a frame according to the fact that we could only cast 1l of plaster.

We discovered that even though the facade was very simple (same structure repeated), our part was « breaking » up this simplicity with the angle. We pointed it in the model with a cantilever.

The two perspectives creates a new point of view to our model. They make you look at the angles with differently. Plus, they show the essentials from our project.
