• PLANES, Final Presentation

    Final presentation of the project. Based on the painting we had at the beginning, we choosed two planes and observed how the two interact, the relation that they have with the protostructure and transposed the spacial qualities of the painting. The hole project is elaborated on a modul taken from the walls of the painting, creating a vibrance on the façade that continues on the roof. Contrasting with a smooth surface inside and vibrating outside; effects created by the different orientations and sizes of the wood.

  • Charette Week

    This charette week was the occasion to experiment different approaches to my final project. I had some problem without finding any solution and I finally understood that within the drawing is the solution. Experimenting some different ideas which developp themself with the evolution of the drawing.

  • PLANES, Week 5

    The development of the project continues and the space become more precise. The different orientation of the section of the sticks creates the modul that defines the interior space, just as the room in the drawing. The protostructure can be seen more or less transparent depending on the orientation of the sticks and tht allows us the play with it; hide the walls on the section and in the other a strong wall.

                                      details of the connection between the stereotomic and the tectonic part. scale 1:20



    The connection of the tectonic and the stereotic part is a key point of the project. It has to keep the contunity of the module on the plaster. Putting to much wood in the plaster does that the plaster a little bit round because the wood swells.

    I have made some test to see witch reltion is possible with the sticks and the plaster.

    Drawing the project was helping me to understand the realtion between the project and the protostructure. I was looking for an architecture language from the protostructure that I could translate the my project how I could build a node that is integrating my project to the structure.
