Everything is dark down here. But the freedom is not far. Walk and climb the ramp between the roofs, but do not try to step on them, they may not hold and the fall is the end. Stay on the the ramp and go, go, go and you will be free from this confinment. You will come to the top.

After the idea, the main issue is about the realization and the insertion in the proto-structure. I wanted the less wood possible to have a real feeling of floating plans in the space. I created 4 different varations with cardboards, so the next step will be to realize these plans in plaster.

    Ideas from MEASURES and ELEMENTS:

The main point of this exercice will be to work with the levels’ differences which occured in the two previous phases. Another interessant aspect will be the Measures building’s lag compared to the other angles in this Malley’s site.

The path you will have to climb to get to the top of the ramp will make you travel between different levels, which you shall not walk on it because they look unstable. But at the top, you will be free from the imprisonment you were confront to at the bottom.

Inspiration from an extract of “The Invisible Cities” from Italo Calvino:

“I could tell you how many steps make up the streets rising like stairways, and the degrees of the arcades’ curves”
