• Intentions

By my project I wanted to evoke the contrast, on the one hand with the different thickness of plates, the plans having the largest area are the finest and on the contrary the smallest ones are the thickest. Then I played with height to create different atmosphere, the color that highlights the protostructure that I have lightened to the maximum to bring out the lightness but at the same time the strength of the structure that will thus pronounce the effect of flotation of the plates.

I kept a simple construction system by keeping the original knots of the protostructure in order to lighten this project which is very bulky. I also created a contrast with the two elongated plates that are diagonal to the square plates and finally the connection of the five different planes by a cylinder or a column of air that can be translated by a connection through the floors but also a contribution of light that pours into its space darkened by the anthracite colors.

So we can see many different spaces very open or more closed on the heights but also by the thickness of the plates that will have the crushing effect on the finests plans.

  • PLANES - Synthesis

    Par Luana Ferrari, 24/12/17

Three planes of different sizes, placed at different heights in the protostructure.

Only one of them is accessible, the two above being intangible for the human on the lowest plane.

The materiality, either cardboard or sticks, helps defining different types of spaces, the emptiness and light above, in between and under the planes being filtered or cut.

  • Synthèse - Planes

    Par Roberto Rossi, 19/12/17

            Same planes, different spaces.

Starting from the  analogy between the sites of the last two phases, I decided to study how by changing the scales of the same planes we can modify the spatial characteristics and the effect created between these ones. In order to explore that concept I created an evolution and a progressive space going from the largest and vastest to the tiniest and the tightest.
