    AXONOMETRY

My axo is orientated with the east is on the right and the west on the left to have a morning and an evening area.

I decomposed my model, from the structure I added to the proto to support my planes to the final result without the proto. So the two last planes I added create three spaces.

    VOID

I made a void of my project to identify the volume of the three different spaces. I could elongate the three blocks but I chose to add a fourth one as a common space because the feeling in this area is really different than in the others due to the openness. This is a transition between the three spaces, it gives a sequence of movement and shows a fluidity.

    ELEVATIONS

I put each elevation with their corresponding section.

    PLANS

I decided to do a second horizontal cut at the height of the head of a seated person to clarify the exploitable area.

    PERSPECTIVES

The first one is a view of the three spaces, here we can clearly see the backrests of the inclined wall.

The second perspective is from the entrance and shows the view you have in the closed space when you are standing.

Then, the third one is a view of the morning space from someone sitting against the vertical wall who’s looking on the left.

The last one is a view of the evening space from someone leaning against the inclined wall who’s looking on the right.

I think these perspectives help us to project ourselves into the final construction.

FINAL MODEL     1:10    (incomplete due to the sanitary quarantine)

I wanted to create two different spaces in one "room". The first one is an enclosed space consist a vertical wall and inclined wall, both completely opaque. However the two walls aren’t in contact which allows a light to infiltrate threw the empty ligne.

The second one is an opened space subdivided in two different part, an east side and a west side. The est part is designed to an inhabitant to enjoy the morning sun, in this area he can sit on the ledge while leaning against the vertical wall which has predefined backrests. The west side is like a copy of the east side but for the evening. It’s designed to enjoy the sunset and the evening light because the inhabitant can lean against the inclined wall which also has predefined backrests. Another difference with the east side is that he can have his legs straight on the ground when he’s sitting.

Both sides are peaceful but they contrast in the fonction. The east side is made to wake up and the west side is made to lounge at the end of the day.

Concerning the model, I decided to build it entirely out of wood to accentuate it's uniformity and it's lightness. The ground and one vertical wall are unfilled to contrast with the second vertical and the inclined walls. At the point where the inclined and vertical walls were supposed to meet, the light entrance is a precise moment created by two parallels.

I come here, alone or with my friend, to put my belongings under the cover space. Here it's cosy, I can stay when it's raining. My favorite area is the peaceful outside where I can enjoy the morning sun and on the other side, where I can have a chat and rest against the inclined wall. I really like this lounge area created by the evening light. At any time in the day I can count on this room to feel comfortable.

After planes, we were given a new ground to work on, literally.

With that in mind, we started searching for new spaces while keeping our main idea from planes

After finding our spaces with a sketch model, we added complexity to it to show the relation of the model with the                                                               protostructure and the ground.
