I built the model in fragments si I could insert them inside the protostructure like a puzzle. The room kind of "molds" around it to make the "embedded structure" created in the drawings.

    The building of the model

Once I settled for the arrangement, I started sketching how the model would be built around the protostructure and build construction details.

    Research through drawing

With precise drawings, I tested different positions for my last plane.

I chose the right one for its relation to the protostructure, as it starts on the ground in front of one "pillar" and ends at the top on the pillar behind it.

Another aspect of my space is that the protostructure is mostly embedded inside of the planes.

    Initial task and first ideas

Our task was to create a spacial interiority with four planes. With that in mind I started searching for a purpose:which purpose will my room serve ?

As we got more details about the placement and surrounding nature around it, I decided my room was going to be punctuated by sunlight. But what kind of living space would that be ? Then I realized our eating schedule was always somewhat close to sunrise, when the sun is at it's zenith, and sunset. My space was going to be a dining room. So I started sketching.

I made a few sketches and created two horizontal planes and one perpendicular vertical all with the humain scale in mind. I now had to find how my oblique plane was going to be.
