"It's the 1st May of 2020, I'm walking on the side of the Rhone and I see a space place. There is a small entrance that is inviting me inside of this small place. There is a special light ambiance that makes me comfortable to study."

During the second week, I continued to develop the concept of my project. Three major ideas had to be kept in mind :
- A path : a visitor guided by his close environment ;
- The protostructure helping to mark the spaces ;
- The ambivalence of the interior space, depending on the direction we're looking at.
However, the project had a major flaw : the space on the left hadn't any purpose and therefore I had to "play" with the 4 plans to find the best position for each of them, in order to use better the space I had.
Here's the new plan I came up with, and a vertical section :

I decided to move the oblique plan to the wall so the path was clearer for the visitor. I also rotated it by 45° to create a little gap at eye-level so the visitor could see beyond the oblique wall. I also moved the northern wall to the right so it would stop at the intersection with the oblique plan. Here's a sketch I made during the conception of this new arrangement :
I also made a study model with cardboard to help me to understand the scale of my project regarding the human scale :

Some changes since week 2: 1) Close parasitic spaces, so all unnecessary open spaces disrupting the activity of my rooms: stargazing, especially the great bear. 2) Establish a link between the triangular opening towards the sky and the ground (in plan). The cross created by the protostructure (which also gives the direction of the 4 cardinal points) is located in the center of the opening of my rooms (in plan).

The construction of the model in the protostructure was done in 2 stages: 1) Creation of the frameworks of the plans. 2) Filling the frames. Choice of material: I decided to work with plexiglas for two characteristics: transparency and opacity. Indeed, the plexiglass is transparent base but once sanded it becomes opaque. I created a vertical transparency (ground and roof) in opposition with a horizontal opacity (walls). The floor of my rooms is transparent which allows to add an additional activity to my rooms: the possibility of not only looking at the stars but also of observing the other projects in the protostructure. The ground is not completely transparent, some parts considered uninteresting are sanded (for example the parts of the protostructure). So I work with the same material but in two different forms.
