Research and development of the project from 4 plans of 3 meters by 3 meters by 10 cm and the Protostructure common to all students.
The objective imposed during this first week of ROOM was to create a space with a condition of interiority by using 4 planes. This space must have an entrance, must be included in the protostructure and must be on the scale of a human body.
plan
The method used, was the «research by drawing». Several try, several lines have been drawn on the same drawings (A1). In order to find an orientation for these 4 plans which suits me and with which I want to work. Without forgetting that this space must be able to interact with the human body.
My first thoughts turned to be the « course of the sun ». A sun rising in the east and setting in the west. From this starting point, I created a space where a typical character can have a view of the sunset and the sunrise only.
elevation
After the first drawings and the first reflections
The upper plane and the lower plane, both have one corner who is facing the south. This creates a direction to my project. In addition, this allows sunlight to come in only in the morning and in the evening. During the day, the sun illuminates only the top of the upper (tilted plan) plane and not the interior created by my 4 planes.

perspective
The interior of this space does not allow us to stand upright (if we use it properly) . The height gradually decreases from 2m30 (in the corner) up to 50 cm, the place where the upper and lower planes almost touch. This place is therefore made to sit, in the center (height : 1m10) of this space created by my 4 plans.
The upper plan is tilted, it allows protection during the day and lets the light in only during the evening and in the morning.
The entrance is on the left. It measures 1m90 which leaves space for a man of standard size to enter the ROOM.
The perspective allows us to see the entrance on the left and the corner formed by two plane.
Axonometry allows us to see that there is a diamond plane, it creates a contrast with the other planes. It breaks the symmetry that there could have been if there had been two rectangular planes forming a corner.
The cross that forms the corner is offset from the lower plane, to allow people to sit and walk on the platform that can be seen behind the two vertical planes.
